William Howe

Bill Howe is a native of Dallas. He moved to California in its golden days to graduate from LA High School, and UCLA in time to sail the seven seas during the Second World War. After several years of writing film reviews and special material in post-war Manhattan, he returned to the West Coast—where he teamed up with Max Showalter to create variety numbers for such headliners as Nancy Walker, Johnny Ray, Shirley MacLaine and Andy Williams.

He collaborated with Lorne Huycke on a cabaret musical production of THE DRUNKARD, which ran for six years in L.A. and starred Jim Dale in London. He also provided additional lyrics for TOUCH OF THE CHILD. Before his retirement to Puerto Vallarta and Vermont, Howe wrote interviews and features for CBS Network Radio.
